DIY face moisturizer and exfoliant

If you are looking for an inexpensive diy face product, chances are you already have one hiding in your kitchen…

That’s what I discovered while reading a book I found at my local library. There are only 3 ingredients in this wonderful, natural face product.

10 drops Essential oil(I used lemon)

Baking soda

Coconut oil

That’s it… I made this, this morning in 5 minutes with ingredients I already had in my kitchen!  All you need to do is mix the oil and baking soda in equal parts and add the essential oil. I stored the product in a mason jar when I was finished.

Making your own personal care products is a great way to save money and cut down on the many chemicals we put into our bodies daily with store bought alternatives. This was probably the most inexpensive product I have made, with the baking soda ringing in at a whopping 50 cents and the coconut oil at $4.95.

To use: gently rub a teaspoon sized amount of the product on your face, avoiding eyes. Rinse with warm water. This scrub is gentle and leaves skin feeling smooth and nourished!
